Jane Austen is probably the best-known of Bath’s many famous residents, and the Jane Austen Centre tells the story of her Bath experience. In addition to the Centre’s usual exhibition, Regency tea rooms and walking tours, The Jane Austen Festival will be from the 16th – 24th September, with seasonal additions illustrating how the festive time of year was celebrated in the early 1800s.

If music is your thing, the Bath Mozartfest takes place 11 – 19  November, and  features some of the world’s finest musicians, including a rare visit by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and  includes a repertoire of Mozart and Tchaikovsky.
